Welcome to the newly set up office of South Bangalore.YES.....We have got our own center at a prime location in Hulimavu.The Bhagini program has kick started well with a fantastic inauguration by Rashmi mam and Ajanta mam on July 22.On the same day Mrs Shoma from LDSG foundation visited our center along with her students and did a fabulous creative job of putting charts and wall papers .Also they were accompanied to one of the Govt schools at Arekere ,wherein they shared a great time with them paying music in guitars and also gave some goodies to them.It was an amazing and entertaining day for the students.We at VIDYA are extremely thankful for their support.
The set up of the office has begun with the installation of TV, tailoring units and boards followed by the setting up of computer lab for the Bhagini program.Also many enthusiastic women have started beckoning us about the program and we have received a reasonable amount of entries for registration and the classes are very exciting and motivating for them.Also they are thankful for the program and definitely this will reach out to more eligible ladies.
Our scholarship program at South Bangalore is also fully functional and operational with the students visiting the center on the weekends for the extra support that they require in their subjects.Mr Srinivas, a competent Chartered Accountant has been doing a yeoman service to these budding students in providing them guidance in their subjects and also giving them valuable suggestions on setting up their career.In addition to this,Ms Ragasudha also visited the center and met the scholarship students and gave them a fantastic session on career counselling.We are thankful to Mr Srinivas and Ms Ragasudha.We are sure that our students will definitely utilize the great opportunity showered on them.
To mention on a special note our south Bangalore office has recieved library books,grade wise for our children in the beyond school program.This will definitely illuminate the habit of reading in them.
